Example: If the maximum award is $100,000 and your organization&#039;s indirect cost rate (federally approved or otherwise) is 25%, then X*1.25=$100,000 and $100,000/1.25=$80,000. 

I hope this formula helps folks develop budgets that maximize your opportunities.
